Register for or deregister from the Public Prescription Drug Insurance Plan

Everyone who has taken up residence permanently in Québec must have prescription drug coverage at all times. Two types of plans provide this: the public plan, administered by RAMQ and private plans (group insurance plans and employee benefit plans). Please note, however, that you must join a private insurance plan, if you qualify.

Unless otherwise indicated, you must answer all questions.
What do you want to do?

Worker or student temporarily in Québec

If you are in Québec temporarily, as a rule, you do not qualify for the Public Prescription Drug Insurance Plan. This means that you must take out private insurance.
