November 29, 2022 – We completed our 1st review of the Plan d’action à l’égard des personnes handicapées 2021-2023. It is also showing the results attained, as of March 31, 2022, for each objective. Among the achievements:
- Removal of the requirement to provide a medical certificate from an otorhinolaryngologist when allocating or replacing a hearing aid in order to speed up the allocation of a device, in cooperation with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux
- Implementation of a telephone appointment system for specific clienteles (newcomers, foreign students and workers) allowing them to obtain the service without having to travel and thus avoiding waiting in line
- Application of alleviation measures for authentication and photo-taking for all clienteles in order to reduce the burden of administrative procedures
