Make an appointment online on the SAAQ website to avoid waiting in line. On the day of your appointment, bring your renewal notice and that’s it!
You usually receive your renewal notice 3 months before your card expires. Read it carefully: it contains the procedure for renewing your health insurance card according to your situation. If you have not received your renewal notice or if you have lost it, order it online before making an appointment.

At SAAQ, you do everything in one place, in one step! You do not have to go to a pharmacy for the photo: it will be taken on the premises at the time of renewal.
Your application will be submitted to us promptly and you will receive your card by mail as soon as possible.

Do you drive? Take care of two things at once!
If you also have to renew your driver’s licence, do so at the same time as the Health Insurance Card. A single appointment for both your Health Insurance Card and driver’s licence means more time for you!
