June 7, 2022 – On June 6, a commemoration ceremony was held at the National Assembly to honour the memory of Claude Castonguay. The man many consider to be the “father of Québec health insurance” passed away in December 2020, a few weeks after the 50th anniversary of the plan he set up.
During the ceremony presided by Premier François Legault, RAMQ had the opportunity and the honour to announce that its head office, located at 1125 Grande Allée Ouest in Québec, will henceforth be called Édifice Claude-Castonguay.
