Client Services at the Régie

The Régie's mandate is to control access to the health-care system. To this end, the Régie manages complex administrative control measures.

In concrete terms, what this means is that most services are now provided by an agent over the telephone, in direct interaction with the insured person requesting them.

For example, an insured person who has lost his or her Health Insurance Card but who needs to see a doctor can call the Régie to receive a personalized form and an attestation of registration, which the insured person receives through the mail three or four days after speaking with an agent and having his or her eligibility verified. In this way the person gains rapid access to insured health-care services.
