Excellence Awards 2004

The Régie Wins an Octas Award in the Category "Affaires électroniques interentreprises (B2B)"

On May 29, 2004, the Régie received an Octas award in the category "Affaires électroniques interentreprises (B2B)" for the TIP-I project, carried out in partnership with Microsoft and DMR Conseil for the purpose of modernizing payment telecommunications. With the completion of this project, 50 million physician claims per year - the anticipated volume - can now be transmitted to the Régie on line. At the Octas Gala evening, 21 awards were presented in various categories. In addition, the TIP-I project has been nominated for the Octas de l'Excellence award, along with three other finalists selected from among the evening's award winners.

Octas award winners are chosen by the Fédération de l'informatique du Québec from among candidates (organizations, companies and individuals) who have made noteworthy contributions to the evolution of information technologies.

In 1997, the Régie received an Octas award in the category "Technologie, 201 employés ou plus" and the following year was presented with another Octas in the same category, for its "Priority: Service" project. In 2004, the Régie is proud to receive its third Octas, for the TIP-I project.
